Common Ground Grow Co.

§ Why us

The difference is in the ground — and who's standing in it.

Plenty of people will sell you a raised bed. Common Ground Grow Co builds you a garden that lasts, plants it to a real plan, and hands you a digital companion to keep it going — all from one New England builder who'd rather you grow your own.

§ What sets us apart

Five reasons it's built better.

No competitor in this category pairs craftsman installs with a living record of your garden. Here's where the difference shows up.

Marigold

A companion app, coming spring 2027

We're building an app that knows your beds and your forecast — what to do this week, frost warnings, and a harvest log. Every garden we build goes into it when it launches.

Real craft

Cedar, built on site

Naturally rot-resistant cedar, cut and assembled in your yard with sound hardware — not a flat-pack kit dropped on the lawn. Finished like fine carpentry and made to stand strong for years. Cedar is our standard; there's a pressure-treated budget option, labeled plainly on every quote.

Planted to a plan

Planted to a plan, not a packet

Your beds are planted to a custom plan built for your light, your space, and what your kitchen actually uses — filled with a premium living-soil blend so the first season pours out food instead of struggling.

A relationship

We can keep tending it

The build doesn't have to be goodbye. Our optional Garden Care is a year-round relationship — hands-on visits across the New England season, succession planting, and pest and soil care handled, and the season's chores handled for you.

The Giving Row™

One row feeds a neighbor

Grow more than you need on purpose. The Giving Row™ is an opt-in program that routes surplus harvest to local families through coordinated drop-offs — and we'll help you keep count of what you give.

§ The builder behind it

Hand-built, to a builder's standards.

Common Ground Grow Co was started by Stephen Oldfield, a New England builder and lifelong tinkerer who got tired of watching good food travel a thousand miles to a grocery shelf. Every project is designed by hand and built the way he'd build it for his own family — square corners, sound hardware, and a layout planned around your light, not a catalog.

That's the whole company: no crews chasing volume, no shortcuts you'd find out about two winters later. Just a well-made garden, planted to a plan you can actually follow, and a builder who stands behind the work.

Your ground. Your table.

§ Our promise

Backed for three years.

Every build carries a 3-year workmanship warranty on the structure. It's a promise about our craft — not the harvest. Nature does its part; we do ours.

Tell us about your space and we'll put together a custom plan — no green thumb required.
